SUNTAI WAS A PEACEMAKER - ORTOM

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom commiserates with the government
and people of Taraba State over the death of former Governor of the
state, Pharmacist Danbaba Suntai, a few days ago.

Governor Ortom describes the former Governor as a man who loved his
people and worked tirelessly for the unity of the country particularly
in ensuring cordial relations between Taraba State and its neighbours
like Benue.

He says Pharmacist Suntai was a man who contributed to the development
of his state and upheld the values of inclusiveness, justice and
fairness in governance for the benefit of all, irrespective of region
and ethnicity.

The Governor recalls the unfortunate accident involving the former
Taraba Governor which affected the remaining part of his tenure in
office.

He sympathizes with Governor Darius Ishaku and the Suntai family,
expressing optimism that the present government of Taraba State will
sustain the legacy of the late former Governor.

Governor Ortom prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and his
family the strength to bear the loss.
