22 LESSONS LIFE HAS THOUGHT ME

NUMBER 1

Stay close to God, there's more to God than you already know. And if all you know about God is what He can give to you, then, you know too little.

NUMBER 2

Take responsibility for your actions. It must not always be someone's fault. Learn to acknowledge it and apologize where necessary.

NUMBER 3

The journey would not be smooth and free from challenges, but victory is assured.

NUMBER 4

Not every open door is from God, if you don't understand, ask Jonah who wanted to run away from God and everything worked out so quick and fine but he ended up being swallowed. The enemy can open a door that will get you swallowed.

NUMBER 5

You don't always have to prove a point, even Jesus didn't respond when he was asked to save himself if he was the king of the Jews. He didn't turn stone to bread when he was asked to, if he was truly the son of God. Don't always prove a point, it may be a trap from the enemy.

NUMBER 6

Discipline is a price you must pay to be successful. Chase away laziness as much as you can.

NUMBER 7

We make mistakes, I've made mistakes and I regret a number of them. It's okay to feel bad, it's okay to regret them but you must rise to the level of learning from those mistakes and avoiding a repeat of them even while you move on.

Look ahead, it's okay to remember your past but don't focus on them. Lot's wife looked back and you know how it ended. The instruction was, "do not look back". Again, Look ahead and not behind. Focusing on the past leads to stagnancy.

NUMBER 8

No such thing as anger issues, you have an issue with anger because you've not learnt to control it. We all get angry and it can be controlled. If you can't control your anger then don't get angry😃. Reactions from anger have never been pleasant.

NUMBER 9

Most times it doesn't look like it but, the situations around us are answers to our prayers. You ask God to teach you to love then you meet annoying set of people, you ask him to teach you to forgive then, someone you least expect will be the one to hurt you and so bad. God deposits the ability in you and an opportunity must come for you to express it.

NUMBER 10

Learn to appreciate the tiniest of gestures. Appreciation is a therapy on it's own.

NUMBER 11

Learn to show love to people. A random act of kindness goes a long way. It's beautiful to see a smile on someone's face knowing that you put it there.

NUMBER 12

There are times that responses are not needed, in those times you remain silent because a response may make you regret later or lead to a stage you never intended for.

NUMBER 13

Never treat people bad because they treated you badly. It's immaturity. Two immatured people acting together and thinking it's maturity or wisdom is disaster. There's simply no wisdom in that.

NUMBER 14

Forgiveness is a favor you do yourself. People will hurt you without apologizing or even admit it and they'll continue living their life. My dear, you must move on too. He knew what he was saying when He said, "Forgive your neighbor seventy times seven times in a day".

NUMBER 15

One of the worst mistakes I've made is that I'm always fine or I'm always strong. A lot of people say I'm strong but let me tell you, there's no reward o. It is written that, 'even the strong will grow weary'. My dear, talk to God always, talk to someone if you need to. Men are gifts from God. Be wise in this though.

NUMBER 16

"The righteous will fall 7 times and still get up again". You keep pressing, when you fall (when you're down) you get up again. Rising after a fall is success, remaining on the ground is not an option to pick. This doesn't mean you should always fall, guard your salvation with fear and trembling. Don't take His Grace for granted.

NUMBER 17

Depression is a spirit that kills. It kills time, it kills happiness, it kills success, it kills purpose, it kills destiny and can even kill you. As much as you can, avoid it.

NUMBER 18

Never be jealous or sad when you see someone better at what you do or have grown farther than you. If it's the same purpose, you shouldn't be jealous that it's being achieved. You should be happy that you're privileged to be among the fulfilment of the purpose.

NUMBER 19

Never do something good for someone because you think you may get something bigger in return, do good without expecting it in return.

NUMBER 20

Do not always expect from people. People who expect are not always ungrateful because their expectations may be cut short. You appreciate even tiniest gestures when you don't expect. Expectations from people almost always lead to dissappointments. Stop expecting, not everything is your right.

NUMBER 21

Learn to tell people how you feel about them, learn to live the best of the moments with people. No time for offences, no time for grudges, no time for unforgiveness. Here is a bitter truth; these people won't always be with you. Soon you'll desire just a wave from them and won't even see them pass. You will desire to see them even when you know it's impossible. You'll desire a hug from them but may wait till eternity. Not everyone who is close to you will always be and this doesn't make them bad either. Learn to tell people how much you value them and don't wait till the day of wake keep or when you can't access them so easily.

NUMBER 22

Involve God in all that you do and learn to follow his instructions, directions and counsels. This always go a long way.
