TSAV FINALLY SPEAKS ON THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE VISIT:
SAYS:
"
I led leadership of PCC to Government House, Not to Beg Ortom"
Chairman
of the Public Complaint Commission in charge of Benue State, Chief Alhaji Abubakar
Tsav has said that his presence in Government House Makurdi is not on account
of begging governor Samuel Ortom for lying against him as his media team are
speculating.
In
a short text messages sent to press in Makurdi this afternoon, Alhaji Tsav stated
that the Chief Commissioner of the Complaint Commission visited the governor
with six other commissioners to defend the integrity of the commission and only
led the team to the governor as courtesy demanded.
Governor
Samuel Ortom who is pained by a nine-paged petition against him titled:
“Whistle Blowing Stagnation of Benue State” and submitted to the commission
prompted the leadership of the Omnbus body to meet with both the governor and
Alhaji Tsav to seek ways of settling the matter out of court.
His
text message reads in part:
“I
did not apologize to the Gov that I lied against him. The Chief Commissioner
came with 6 Public Complaint Commissioners to Mkd to defend the integrity of
the commission and to make peace with the Gov who is VERY BITTER rightly about
the letter I wrote to him and to seek ways to resolve the matter amicably and
out of court”.
Tsav
however said the mission in government house was successful.
Report
says Tsav is expected to also meet with Tor Tiv and governor Samuel Ortom at a
later date on same matter.
